You may have noticed the two small flags that just appeared in the top left corner of our pages. They mark a major breakthrough for CanalPDA: the official launch of the English version of our site.

As you may know, we have been occasionally posting English versions of stories that we found interesting for non-Spanish readers. The reception has been usually good, so from now on we intend to post most of our content in both languages. For your convenience, CanalPDA splits itself into two separate sites, where you can expect to find most new, original content in each language. The original Spanish site is now available at http://www.canalpda.com/index.html?newlang=spa, while the new, English one is at http://www.canalpda.com/index.html?newlang=eng. Of course, curious readers can always switch between both sites using the little top flags.

For the time being, the content of the new site just aggregates everything we had already published in English, but we have also started to add new posts, such as this one about Skype.

An English RSS feed, too


With avid RSS users in mind, we have also set up a specific feed for English content at http://feeds.canalpda.com/canalpda_english. The strip of service buttons on the left-side menu has also been updated to allow direct subscription to the major feed aggregators.

Our mobile site still displays content from both language versions, but we expect to solve that someday soon.

If this experiment goes well, we hope to welcome a new stream of English readers and we'd like them to find useful and attractive content here. Please do not hesitate to suggest which stories from our Spanish site you'd like to see translated.
