Hoy sábado es el último día en que los poseedores de un número de teléfono móvil de prepago pueden identificarse con su DNI ante su operadora para evitar perderlo. El lunes próximo entrará en vigor la normativa del Ministerio español del Interior que obliga a las operadoras móviles a desactivar los números de los clientes que no se hayan identificado. Se estima que entre 3,5 y 4 millones de números se encuentran en esta situación.
Además de recuperar ese parque de numeración, las operadoras podrían percibir un ingreso adicional nada desdeñable: los aproximadamente 25 millones de euros que tienen cargado en saldo no consumido los números de móvil que se desactivarán la semana próxima. La cifra se deriva de los datos de saldo medio de prepago que figuran en el último informe de la CMT.
La asociación de consumidores FACUA ha requerido a las compañías que especifiquen cómo tienen previsto devolver ese saldo a los clientes que decidan no identificarse, una devolución prevista en la norma legal.
Por su parte, la asociación Redtel, formada por Movistar, Vodafone, Orange y Ono, ha solicitado al ministerio del Interior una prórroga del periodo de identificación, solicitud que fuentes oficiales han asegurado no será aceptada.
El Ministerio justifica el requisito de identificar a los poseedores de líneas móviles de prepago para facilitar la lucha contra los delitos de narcotráfico y terrorismo. No obstante, algunas apuntan que la medida tendrá una utilidad relativa, dado que se pueden adquirir tarjetas prepago anónimas en otros países.
En cualquier caso, si es usted de los perezosos que ha dejado el trámite hasta el último momento, recuerde que sólo tiene hasta el final de la jornada de hoy para acercarse con su DNI a cualquier establecimiento distribuidor de su operadora móvil.
